Internships
Recent Sociology students have held internships with community centers, afterschool programs, summer camps, women鈥檚 and children shelters, rape crisis hotlines, refugee centers, corporate settings, legal clinics, music marketing companies, urban farms, political campaigns and arts programs. Sociology students receive academic credit when they do internships. In addition to the hours required at their intern site, students write a research paper that links the sociological knowledge they鈥檝e gained through coursework with their internship experience.
