Flexible Format Designed for Working Professionals
The M.S. in MIS program will be offered with a variety of teaching modalities, including in-person, online and hybrid to serve a diverse student population.
To complete the M.S. in MIS degree, a student must earn a minimum of 36 graduate credit hours, which include 27 credit hours in core courses, a 3-credit hour capstone and may be waived up to the 6 credit hours of foundation courses. Foundation course(s) may be satisfied for students with sufficient background (i.e. baccalaureate degree in computer science or business and/or a closely related field).
Foundation Coursework
Students who lack prior coursework in computer science or management information systems from an accredited collegiate institution are required to take up to 2 foundation courses in the major to gain background in computer programming and computer organization. The determination of whether a student is required to take one or both Foundation Courses will be made during the application review process by the Program Director. The Program Director will evaluate the applicant's prior academic transcripts, looking for courses in computer programming and computer organization. If the transcripts provide evidence of academic credit in Computer Programming and / or Computer Organization from an accredited collegiate institution, the student will not be required to take the corresponding Foundation Course. The Foundation Courses are designed to provide students who lack prior academic coursework in the fundamentals of Computer Science and Management Information Systems.

Admission Requirements
Degree applicants must meet the following admission requirements for the master’s in Management Information Systems:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university.
- A completed .
- Submit official transcripts from each college or university attended. (Not required for Alumni.)
- Have an undergraduate GPA ≥ 3.0 or GMAT ≥ 550.
- Submit a professional resume.
- International students are required to have a TOEFL test score greater than 550 (computer-based 213; Internet-based 79) or an IELTS score greater than 6.5.
