The Flyer

is ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app' official student-run newspaper, published weekly with both print and online editions. A great learning environment for students interested in careers in journalism, graphic arts, publishing and electronic distribution - students do all aspects of the research, writing and production, with guidance from a faculty member. The online version -- the E-Flyer -- has won third place in the Best Online Publication competition among all 37 ICPA schools. The Flyer has won several awards at the Illinois College Press Association Convention, including first place for Best In-Depth Reporting.


WLRA-FM RADIO STATION

The first college radio station in the country to go digital, WLRA, ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app' non-commercial, educational radio station, broadcasts online and at 88.1 FM with close to a million potential listeners. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, with music, news and more. It is operated by ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app students, offering fantastic opportunities for students to write scripts, do behind-the-scenes technical work or go live on the air. Equipped with the latest state-of-the-art broadcasting technology, WLRA studios include an on-air control room, conference studio, news production, digital audio production, producing offices, student management offices and music library.


¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app Television Network (LUTN)

¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app' official student television network is designed to give students behind-the-scenes and on-air experience, producing, directing and performing for two separate cable television channels (Channel 6 and Channel 25). LUTN is equipped with state-of-the-art broadcasting technology, including a television control room, 25' x 30' television studio, news set, non-liner video editing, producing offices, student management offices and videotape library.


WFLY-TV News

This student-run news organization is the broadcast journalism arm of LUTN, focusing on providing news and sports information to the ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app community via LUTN's Channel 6. WFLY-TV gives students the opportunity to apply and develop the theory and skills they acquire in their journalism, digital production and other communication courses.
