Community Standards Welcome Modules

抖阴黄色app is dedicated to preparing our students for greater success, both as a student and as a member of our community. All first-year students are required to complete a set of online Community Standards Welcome Modules, including Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates (SAPU). These modules, provided by EVERFI, help students develop critical skills to make thoughtful and healthy choices outside the classroom, reflect on their knowledge, attitudes, and experiences related to these issues, and learn how to support their peers and themselves when faced with tough decisions
Completion of the training satisfies the educational requirements of the Illinois Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education Act (110 ILCS 155) and federal law.

Education for student athletes

Student athletes complete yearly modules, provided by EVERFI, to learn more about their role in prevention sexual violence on campus.
Student athletes also attend yearly presentations, “Beyond the Locker Room”, to discuss the power of Bystander Intervention and creating a culture of respect on their teams

Bystander Intervention

Bystander Intervention is an interactive workshop that allows students to discuss the impact of problematic and inappropriate behaviors, understand the goals of bystander intervention, learn the skills to intervene, learn about on and off campus resources, and learn how to promote a culture of active bystander behavior.

We offer workshops and presentations of sexual violence, domestic/dating violence, and stalking for any group or class at the University.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October)

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) was launched nationwide in October 1987 as a way to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on domestic violence issues while raising awareness for those issues.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April)

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) was first nationally celebrated in 2001 with the creation of the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC). Even before SAAM was first nationally observed in 2001, advocates had been holding events, marches, and observances related to sexual violence during the month of April, sometimes during a week-long “Sexual Assault Awareness Week.”聽聽

Coordinated Community Response Team

The Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) is a team of campus and community partners that meet regularly to assess, plan, monitor, and evaluate campus prevention and response efforts. As a working group, the CCRT does not discuss individual cases on campus, but rather focuses on building a coordinated, collaborative, sustainable, and systemic response. By building a team consisting of the highest stakeholders in the key areas of the grant, a CCRT functions as the backbone of our grant implementation by utilizing the unique insight each person brings to the table.
The work of the Team is focused on, but not limited to:

Encouraging the development, implementation, and assessment of awareness, prevention, and intervention programs that address sexual misconduct in the campus community.
Working with community leaders and service providers to prevent sexual misconduct and to ensure a coordinated response, both in terms of law enforcement and survivor services, in accordance with the Illinois Campus Security Enhancement Act and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
Assess prevention programming and marketing materials to ensure cultural relevance, develop messaging for different populations on campus
Promoting and providing appropriate training to faculty and staff around sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, and stalking
Create marketing and outreach materials for on and off-campus resources, including 24-hour crisis lines
Identify service delivery opportunities that are culturally affirming and encompass diverse learning styles

Anyone from the 抖阴黄色app community is encouraged to participate and attend CCRT monthly meetings.
