(L to R) Christian Brother Robert Veselsky, FSC, university minister,
accepts a donation from alumnus Joe Weber ‘21 for the ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app
University Food Pantry.

Four Arthur Schmidt Scholarship recipients recently shared kindness with a fundraising project to assist other financially struggling students.

Alumnus Joe Weber ‘21 along with ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app students Aubree Smith, Myra Coley, and Raneem Ahmad coordinated a fundraising project. The Arthur Schmidt Scholarship recipients raised funds to purchase and deliver backpacks for distribution to local homeless shelters in the Chicago region. They directed the remaining funds toward fellow students who need food and other provisions through the ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app Food Pantry.

The ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app Food Pantry provides fruit and non-perishable items to students 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Monday-Friday in the lower level of the Ministry Office. It is co-sponsored by the ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app Center for Health & Counseling, Student Recreation, Fitness & Wellness, and University Ministry.

¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app is an innovative and forward-thinking Catholic university offering market-relevant undergraduate and graduate programs to 6,200 students. Sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app is nationally recognized for preparing intellectually engaged, ethically grounded, globally connected and socially responsible graduates.
